Nicole laminated Stanley because she was afraid that he would get messed up. Then she sent Stanley to Europe with her husband named Marcel. Marcel took Stanley skiing with him. It's snowing and I wonder if Stanley is cold. Maybe he is having fun in the mountains. This picture was taken at Hintertux, Austria in the Zillertal Alps. I was happy that he went to Austria and can't wait to see where he goes next. Have fun with Marcel, Stanley!

10/14/2008 - Flat Stanley at Iron Tower in Kaifeng

This is the Iron Tower in Kaifeng. Now Flat Stanley is going to my friend Nicole's house. She lives in Shenzhen, which is in Guangdong Province. Stanley will see a lot of things in China. I wish I was in China with them because it looks like a lot of fun.

Flat Stanley is in China now with Stephanie. This is the email she just sent to me:

Dear Chloe,

Here are the pictures of Flat Stanley. In Kaifeng, one is in front of the city wall, one is beside a lake of Kaifeng, the rest is in frount of Songdu Royal Street, where the King of Song Dynasty owned and it also leads to the Song Forbidden City.

I am going to visit the Iron Tower on Tuesday, Iron Tower is the sight of Kaifeng, so I bet he want to see it. More soon!!!

09/29/2008: Flat Stanley in Washington, D.C.

After her trip to San Francisco, Stephanie flew to Washington, D.C. to visit more people who work at Love Without Boundaries. They took her and Flat Stanley sightseeing.

Just above Flat Stanley's head is our nation's capitol.

This is Lia. Her mom works with my mom and Stephanie. She wanted to take her picture with Flat Stanley in front of the capitol building.

This is Flat Stanley in front of the White House, where the President lives.

Stephanie has left America and returned home to China now. She promised to take Flat Stanley with her and take pictures in her home town of Kaifeng, which is in Henan Province. Thank you Stephanie!

Flat Stanley went with Stephanie to Muir Woods, which is near San Francisco. She said it was really beautiful there. Mom told me that I've been there before but I was a baby then so I don't remember it.

Stephanie took Flat Stanley with her to see the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I like how it is a sunny day but you can still see a cloud low in the sky by the bridge.

This is my friend Stephanie. She lives in China and works with my mom at Love Without Boundaries. She came to the United States and stayed with us for a few days. I sent Flat Stanley with Stephanie so she could take him on her travels in the U.S. and then take him back to China with her. We took this picture of Stephanie, Flat Stanley, and me together at the Los Angeles Airport before she left so we can see where Flat Stanley begins his travels.

Hi. My name is Chloe. This is my blog about Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley is a book written by Jeff Brown and illustrated by Scott Nash about a boy who got flat by a bulletin board. His mom said, "We'll eat breakfast and go to the doctor." After they visited the doctor, they got a letter from Stanley's friend to see California. His dad got a big envelope for Stanley to fit in. His mom made him bring milk, a toothbrush, and an egg sandwich. After he was in the envelope, Stanley asked if he could eat his sandwich and his mom said, "No, not until you are very hungry." When Stanley was in California he visited a museum with his friend. Then he came home and showed his mom and dad the pictures that they took. Stanley had a little brother named Arthur. His dad took Arthur and Stanley to the park. Stanley was rolled up like a purse and then his dad saw an old college friend. He said, "Is that wallpaper?" His dad said, "No, it is my son Stanley." At the park everybody was flying kites except for Arthur and Stanley. Then Stanley had an idea so he made a long string and since he was flat he was the kite and Arthur had fun with him. Soon some boys asked Arthur if he wanted to get a hot dog and Arthur said sure. At the end of the book they all drank hot cocoa to celebrate that Stanley was flat.

At school I made my own Flat Stanley so he could go to different places and take pictures. When he finishes traveling he will go back in the envelope and come home. This blog is to show pictures of where my Flat Stanley travels in the world. My blog is called Flat Stanley's Walkabout because in Australia a long time ago when kids were 13 they would go walk and travel for six month. Thank you for reading all about Flat Stanley.
